At the Annual General Meeting on 24th June held in Milton Keynes, Melvyn Eyres was elected as the 27th President of the LCSP Register.

Melvyn is a well known and respected figure in the therapy world being a full time therapist to his patients in North London for 45 years. He has also served in positions within the GCMT and the CNHC.

As such he is well versed in the day to day running of a therapy practice together with the much broader picture of Govt interventions and the complex structures of self regulation.

It is this broad spectrum of knowledge and experience that will be a great asset to the LCSP Register and we look forward to his leadership and guidance in the forthcoming years.

Likewise, we have to say goodbye to Dr Paul Lambden who Melvyn has replaced. Paul was an excellent figurehead of the LCSP Register for 11 years and steered the Register through the highs of its Centenary in 2019 and indeed the lows of the Covid Pandemic. Paul was a great motivator who consistently got the best out of everybody he encountered, his specialisation of Medico-Legal issues was invaluable as a resource and his knowledge and depth of medical experience and his ability to impart wisdom and counsel to any member on request will always be appreciated.
