In depth study of ILIOPSOAS.
This two day workshop will deepen anatomical knowledge of the iliopsoas, its functional role in extension and flexion, its relationship with the piriformis, exploring other muscles that aid in dynamically stabilizing the pelvis and lumbar spine. This would include transverse abdominis, multifidi, pelvic floor, looking into how lower fibres of trapezius and attachments of Latissimus dorse interweave with the fibrous attachments of the psoas.
With exercises to help patients reconnect with these muscles based on the imagery work of Eric Franklin. Breathing exercises that will help patients to reconnect with their pelvic floor, and the relationship with the flexion and extension of the lumber spine.
