This two day workshop is for those who have already completed the introduction that Andy Mansfield facilitated last year as many of the therapists who attended requested further knowledge to consolidate and expand on the skills that Andy taught early in 2012. There will be an emphasis on the cervical spine and exploring ways to develop deeper sensitivity in palpatory skills.
Students will:
- Learn the principles of joint articulation
- Review the anatomy and physiology of joints with relevance to massage therapy
- Learn to improve the health of joints via articulation
- Develop joint mobility assessment skills
- Learn to improve joint mobility
- Enhance palpatory skills
- Integrate techniques into a routine in order to extend the effects of treatment
