The Diamond Jubilee 1979
Firstly, the annual conference is always the big event of the Society’s year, a time when therapists and students gather together, when new friendships are made and old ones renewed. This year will be bigger and better than ever in the form of a very special event to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee Year of the Society. The Location
For this year’s conference is in the very attractive Lancashire coast resort of St Annes On Sea, with the event taking place in the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere of the Fernlea Hotel on the South Promenade.
The Date

Yes, it’s a special THREE DAY EVENT this time …. With lectures, demonstrations, social activities and special commemorative Dinner-Dance.
The Programme
This year is without a doubt, the biggest programme we have arranged for many years, with a varied contribution by authoritative speakers which is sure to include something of value for every member and student of both the remedial therapies and beauty therapy areas of the profession.
The programme will commence on the Wednesday evening (May 9th ) for members already in attendance at that time, with a pre-Conference Reception and Social Evening, ready for a start to the busy Lecture/Demonstration programme at 9:30am on Thursday.
Here are some of our speakers who will be on our platform – with lecture sessions taking place during the mornings, afternoons and evenings on Thursday and Friday, and also on Saturday morning …
Dr Otto C Reinart, Dr Vince C B Nwuga, , Mr Philip Lebon, Dr Shirley A Bond, Dr KJ Noblett, Miss Marion Matthews, Mr Peter Blythe and Mr Brian H Butler
