Membership

Who can join?

If you are a Manual Therapist or Bodyworker with a minimum Level 3 qualification in Remedial Massage or Sports Therapy and a commitment to learning, we would love you to join us. We also welcome statutory regulated professions such as Osteopaths, Chiropractors and Physiotherapists.

All LCSP Members must have insurance to practice. As a Member you can take advantage of our discounted Group Insurance policy, see below for details, or you can provide us with evidence that you have your own insurance in place. We ask that all our Members have a valid First Aid or CPR certificate. You will need to upload evidence of your insurance if you have your own policy, qualifications, First Aid/CPR and any CPD you have done in the past 12 months when you apply so please have your certificates to hand before you begin.

Our Membership categories take you from your Student journey through to Graduation and beyond. If you are in a Statutory Regulated Profession and would like to join us, you can join as an Affiliate member. All Membership fees apart from the Student category exclude Insurance. You can choose to take advantage of our LCSP Group Insurance Policy which provides excellent cover and support at a rate you'll find hard to beat; alternatively you can provide your own Insurance cover.

Non-practicing For Therapists taking a career break who wish to maintain the advantages of membership. This category is not eligible for insurance to practice £55

Overseas
Full/Associate		 Manual Therapist or Bodyworker qualified to minimum Level 3 in Remedial Massage or Sports Therapy and living outside of the UK £80

Student		 Studying minimum Level 3 in Remedial Massage or Sports Therapy and living outside of the UK £15
Overseas Non-
practicing		 For Therapists taking a career break and wishing to maintain the advantages of membership. This category is not eligible for insurance to practice and you must be living outside of the UK £30

Retired		 For Therapists at the end of their career who still wish to maintain the advantages of membership. This category is not eligible for insurance to practice and you must be living outside of the UK £15

While you are studying a minimum Level 3 course in Remedial Massage or Sports Therapy you can apply for Student Membership. The annual fee includes student insurance for £1million professional indemnity so you get all the benefits of LCSP Membership and can build your experience safe in the knowledge that you are comprehensively covered at an extremely competitive rate. Once you graduate you can transfer to our Associate Membership category for your first 2 years of practice which we offer to you at a 50% discount; once you have been in practice for 2 years you can transfer to our Full Membership category.

It can also include the business use of your vehicle and clinical premises. We hope you'd never need it but if you do it's good to know the policies have a 24 hour legal helpline service, as do the Insurance brokers themselves.
