Throughout May, Mental Health Awareness Month, we’ve been looking at burnout and how to avoid it. The focus for Therapists has to be self-care, it’s our job to look after others and often don’t take the time to look after ourselves.

Some of the key takeaways from the series are:

Spotting the signs – knowing what to look for, especially the less obvious ones;

Taking action once you realise something is not right and connecting with others to help restore balance – through us as the PA, with peers, family, and friends;

Moving on it’s about creating a sustainable resilient work/life balance & mindset with self-care at the centre. Think about it like the oxygen mask analogy – put your own on first so you can help others.

Know that as a PA we are here to help, and please get in touch if you’re struggling and need support or advice.
