These first 4 weekends we develop our skills in the Level 1 soft tissue mobilisation and investigate the Mets. We explore ways to find our own deep softness with our self, opening up to the idea that softness can allows us deep into the body, yet gently, working with the person instead of ‘at their body’ be able to pass on the softness to the people we are treating. How to find our own ‘rooting’ techniques.
Learning how to listen to the body, feel each person’s rhythm and respecting what we feel casting no judgement.
Each weekend we will review and debate the anatomy and physiology of the area we are covering also the links to other areas of the body.
At the end of each weekend we will start to build the layers of skill and knowledge to develop a whole body approach to treatments.
Linking movement within treatment session.
Weekend 1: Lumber spine and Hips all level one soft tissue mob and Mets
Weekend 2: Thoracic and cervical spine
Weekend 3: Shoulder, hand and arm
Weekend 4: Foot ankle knee
This second group of weekends are where we begin to investigate assessment, challenge established protocol. Acquiring the skill to take soft mobilisation soft deep, gentle, on to the transition points where muscle becomes tendon, ligament then bone, exploring all the anatomy involved.
Weekend 5: Foot, ankle, and knee
Weekend 6: Lumber spine and Hips
Weekend 7: Thoracic spine and cervical spine
Weekend 8: Shoulder hand and arm
Weekend 9: These 3 days are all about review techniques, pulling together routines, treatment protocol, and assessment. Layering our knowledge to create treatment plans, creating a comprehensive whole body approach to treating someone with long term pain to pain to people with sports injuries.
There will be a short 10 question quiz and the end of each 2 day weekend.
Payment method would be 10 instalment of £270.00 first payment due 28 days prior to course commencement.
At the successful conclusion of the course you be able to use the title Hendrickson Method Practitioner.
Support and supervision will be available between 5pm & 7pm on Friday evenings also Sundays’ between 6pm & 8pm
If you insurance or a professional body work organisation the LCSP register will accept and approve Hendrickson Method Practitioners .
