CARADOC-SHROPDOC-32Massage and soft tissue therapy practitioners can now access a one-stop online shop selling core products at discounted rates.

LCSP Register is a member of buying consortium Caradoc Medical Services, meaning practitioners can access the savings from consortium suppliers.

Caradoc is a not-for-profit organisation and it is free to join the buying group with no membership fees. The consortium started off supporting GP practices but was keen to widen membership and saw opportunities to support therapists.

Suppliers cover a wide range of products and services including stationery, medical consumables, uniforms, telephony solutions, HR and employment support and much more.

The Caradoc Shop focuses on key products under three categories – medical supplies and equipment, stationery and office supplies and treatment room and janitorial supplies.

It is aimed at sole practitioners and small businesses and members that cannot find what they are looking for in the shop can contact one of over 80 Caradoc suppliers for further assistance.

Peter Masters, of Caradoc Medical Services, said: “For practitioners who are self-employed or who own a very small practice, essential supplies and equipment for the treatment room can be very costly. As Caradoc is a consortium we are able to use a collective buying power to bring down costs on key items required by LCSP members. And because we have many practitioners as members we decided to create a specific online shop via our website so that it is easily accessible.”

The online shop is a pilot scheme by Caradoc Medical Services and feedback from members is encouraged to ensure that changes can be made to ensure the service is as useful as it can be to members. The Caradoc Shop can be found here http://www.caradocmedicalservices.co.uk/caradoc-shop
